The Monster anime series adapts Naoki Urasawa's manga of the same name. The 74-episode series was created by Madhouse and broadcast on Nippon Television from April 7, 2004, to September 28, 2005. Directed by Masayuki Kojima, it is a faithful adaptation of the entire story; essentially recreated shot for shot and scene for scene compared to the original manga. The few subtle differences include short snippets of additional dialogue and slight re-ordering of scenes in places. The series soundtrack is composed by Kuniaki Haishima.
This week, we continue to discuss the fated four with an episode on the Gammoth, or Glammoth if you're Jay. We're getting to the point where the clips you hear at the end, from us hunting the monster, are not going so well if we don't wear armour.
"Duel Identity, Part 1", known as "Desperate Situation! Shadow of Seduction" in the Japanese version, is the twenty-ninth episode of the Yu-Gi-Oh! second series anime. It first aired in Japan on November 7, 2000 and in the United States on August 24, 2002.
The first Duel of the Duelist Kingdom finals between Mai Valentine and Yugi Muto begins. This time, Mai is playing without cheating. The Duel does not start off very well for Yugi, as Mai's "Mirror Wall" cuts all of Yugi's attacking monsters' ATK in half, making them easy pickings for Mai's powered-up "Harpie Lady". Mai's "Shadow of Eyes" prevents him from playing any of his monsters in Defense Position, and her "Harpie's Feather Duster" destroys two of Yugi's strongest Trap Cards, "Spellbinding Circle" and "Mirror Force". To make things worse, Yugi and Yami Yugi continue to internally clash for control of the Duel, as Yugi will not let Yami Yugi Duel, for fear that he might recklessly hurt someone as he almost did when Kaiba threatened to kill himself if Yugi won. With only 300 Life Points left, can Yugi get over his fear and make a come-from-behind victory, or will he be eliminated and lose his chance to save his grandfather and the Kaiba brothers?

I loved this episode. The setting was good, not quite as good as the steamboat and prison, but still good. I LOVED the monster design, especially when he grew wings. The jokes worked well and Kristen had a good synergy with the gang and had a lot of enthusiasm. I only have one complaint; I hate Kristen's voice. It's like someone scratching a chalkboard. Because the mystery was good, Kristen's personality was great, and the monster was phenomenal, the voice doesn't affect the score much, but nevertheless it was annoying.
You didn't like Kristen's voice? I didn't mind it tbh. I loved when the monster grew wings too! It was such an original monster idea/design that hadn't been used before. I actually liked this setting better than the steamboat setting.
This episode was funny Kristen Schaal is comedic genius. The flashback of of the gang as kids kind of reminds you of a pup named Scooby doo, especially when Dog gone Scooby when they were in a sandbox.
Like others I had no idea who this guest star was before watching. Her voice is a little Screechy and annoying in places but overall the episode was highly entertaining, if like many others in Guess Who, overly simplistic and easy to guess who the monster was. Overall 16/29.
Reason it was mid table for me was her voice, over bearing personality and generally dominating the whole episode. Sorry, but this is Scooby doo and guest star not other way round, why Hot Dog dog ranked so high for me.
